Privacy policy

The short version

We collect what you type into a form on this site, plus some technical information about the request that carries it. We use it to answer you and to arrange a demo. We do not sell it, we do not advertise to you with it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time by emailing enquiry@parkalto.com.

What we collect when you fill in a form

Only the fields on the form in front of you. Specifically:

• Book a demo — your name, work email, and optionally how many spaces you run.
• Contact — your name, work email, and optionally phone, business name, country and your message.
• Free trial — your first and last name, email, phone, trading name and country.
• Booking a time — your name, email, the time you chose, and optionally phone, business and any note you add.

What we collect automatically

When you submit a form, our host records technical details about that request so we know where an enquiry came from and can tell a genuine one from an automated one: your IP address, the country, region, city and postcode our host associates with it, your timezone, your network provider, and your browser’s user-agent string.

This is recorded on submission only. Simply reading a page does not put you in our database.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to count visits and see which pages are read. It sets cookies and collects an approximate location and device type. It does not identify you by name, and we do not use it for advertising or remarketing.

You can opt out of Google Analytics on every site using Google’s browser add-on, or block cookies in your browser settings. Nothing on this site stops working if you do.

Our host, Cloudflare, also collects aggregate performance data about page loads. It does not identify individual visitors.

Who else sees your information

We use a small number of suppliers to run this site. Each sees only what it needs to:

• Cloudflare — hosts the site and stores enquiries. Our database is located in the Asia-Pacific region.
• Postmark — delivers the notification email that tells us you got in touch.
• Microsoft — when you book a demo time, the appointment is created in our Microsoft 365 calendar and Microsoft sends you the invitation.
• Google — analytics, as described above.

We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We will only hand it over otherwise if the law requires it.

Pages that embed other sites

Our Website page shows four live customer sites in embedded frames so you can see real examples. Those are other companies’ websites, loading in your browser directly from them — they may set their own cookies and are covered by their own privacy policies, not this one.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for as long as we are in contact with you about them, and then for up to two years, so we can pick up a conversation you started earlier. After that they are deleted. Ask us sooner and we will delete them sooner.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email enquiry@parkalto.com and we will action it. We will not ask you why.

If you are in the UK or the EU, you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority. If you are in New Zealand, that is the Office of the Privacy Commissioner; in Australia, the OAIC.

Children

This is a website for parking operators. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If we change what we collect or who we share it with, we will update this page and the date at the top.
